Dr Scott also sheds some light on the concept of 'concierge medicine', why not every one of these programs is the same and what you should look for in such an arrangement with your trusted physician.  Slappy Sal reviews Firewater BBQ and an encore presentation from the LowDown's regular medical correspondent, Dr. Anthony Fartchi, is included.

Sisters Abbey Everhart Cannon (Aunt Tina's Kitchen) and Meredith Everhart share their stories about receiving heart transplants - as they both were born with a somewhat rare heart condition.  The sisters take on the MowDown and Slappy Sal reviews Aunt Tina's Kitchen, a restaurant recently opened by Abbey and her husband Tony in Elmhurst. And Rick is at it again in another edition of "Rick on His Heavily Reinforced Soapbox", as he's perturbed about a premature retirement of a local representative.

Elmhurst resident, Anna Maria Sperando, was adopted from Italy in the 1950's by an American family at a young age, as her biological mother tragically died when she was only two years old.  After many years of searching for biological relatives in Italy, she found three living aunts, an uncle, and 'molti' nephews, nieces and cousins, with the help of her daughter, Jennifer Veremis.  Their recent trip to meet their newly found relatives, is a tear-jerker.  Also featured in the episode is our friend Slappy-Sal with a food review of Pazzi di Pizza, as well as another edition of One Ponce a Time with PK and Dave Oberg. 

Elmhurst author, podcaster and career coach, Gayle Keller, shares her story and passion for encouraging women to succeed in S.T.E.A.M. careers.  Keller explains why we can all learn from our failures and the importance of mentors and sponsors.  

Dr. Peter Griffin, retired Chair of the Elmhurst University Music Department, shares his musical journey from a young music student to stints as an educator at two different Big 10 schools.  At one point in his career, Dr. Griffin was the director of one of the most prestigious college marching bands in the Nation, the Marching Illini.  His path eventually led him to a rewarding stint at Elmhurst U, where he was able to use some of his administrative skills learned earlier in his career.  Pete also shares the story of his late brother, Drew, who was instrumental in breaking some very big and important stories as chief investigative correspondent with CNN.

Elmhurst Memorial Hospital President Pamela Dunley gives the latest updates from the Hospital during her last week before retiring as CEO.  She is joined by COVID Co-Incident Commander, Dr. Michelle Meziere, and incoming President and CEO, Dr. Kim Darey.  Ms. Dunley also reflects on her career and shares her future plans.

Elmhurst CUSD 205 Superintendent, Dr. Keisha Campbell, shares her life journey which brought her back to the school district that helped shape and motivate her.  Dr. Campbell takes on the MowDown, with a commendable score of 92% (Rick's poor math) and gives listeners insight into her management style.  PK and Elmhurst History Museum Director, Dave Oberg, tell us about Sandburg Middle School's namesake in an encore edition of One Ponce a Time.
