Their small coffee shop has grown to three locations in Elmhurst, including E-town's first commercial coffee roastery. You'll learn about this innovative business and the couple who followed their dreams and created this unique gathering place. They take on the MowDown, while the LowDown crew stuggles with a few "sound" issues. The LowDown's food critic, Slappy Sal shares his review of Jack's Silverado Grill.

The Honorable Lee Daniels, the only person to hold the office of Illinois Speaker of the House in the last 35 years other than Mike Madigan, visits with the LowDown crew. Lee shares stories of growing up in Elmhurst, serving the people of Illinois in the General Assembly for over 30 years, and presiding over the State House as Speaker for 2 years. He takes on the MowDown and shares stories of his family and his exciting life in politics, which include meeting several U.S. Presidents. Lee also shares an inside story related to President Clinton's impeachment. Rick climbs atop his heavily reinforced soapbox to warn the people of Elmhurst of a troubling new trend.

Jim O'Connor, the long-time chair of the Elmhurst St. Patrick's Day Parade, shares what it takes to put on one of the area's largest St. Patrick's Day parades. He discusses the upcoming parade on March 10, 2018 and takes on the MowDown. Slappy Sal, the LowDown's half-Italian food critic makes his first appearance, sharing his experience at Fresh Start Cafe with some of his buddies. PK introduces another edition of his Elmhurst history series, "One Ponce a Time", with stories of the old Soukup's Hardware in downtown Elmhurst. Indy 500 entertainment rejects, "The Nabors Boys", debut their version of "Back Home Again in Dear Ole' Elmhurst".
